Jonathan Schaefer (St. Mary's '96) enters his ninth season as an Augsburg College men's soccer assistant coach in 2012.
Augsburg Coaching Highlights:
2008 - Schaefer and the rest of the Auggie coaching staff led Augsburg to its first ever NCAA sweet sixteen appearance. The team finished 12-4-7 (7-2-1 MIAC), producing three All-MIAC players, two All-MIAC honorable-mention players, two All-Far West Region players and one NSCAA/Adidas second-team All-American.
2006 - Defeated Saint John's University 1-0 with three seconds remaining in double overtime on Sept. 24, 2006.

Playing Experience/Achievements:
Schaefer was a four-year starter and two-year captain at St. Mary's University. He holds the No. 3 spot on the school's all-time scoring list for a single season (1996).

Schaefer received his masters degree in Kinesiology/Sport Management from the University of Minnesota. He currently resides in Minneapolis.
