ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College women's cross country team finished in 12th place at the 2009 MIAC Championships. The Auggies finished with 386 team points on a cold fall day at the Como Park Golf Course.
Augsburg was led by
Jennifer Lovering (SR, Bemidji, Minn.), who finished in 82nd place, recording a time of 25:46.9. The next finisher for Augsburg was
Kacie Bahr (SO, Brainerd, Minn.), who crossed the line in 27:20.9. Finishing just behind Bahr was
Jennifer Pulscher (SO, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS), who recorded at time of 27:37.0.
Adrienne Young (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS), was the fourth runner for the Auggies recording a season-best time of 31:37.5, cutting over 30 seconds off her previous best time.
Stacia Francis (SR, St. Cloud, Minn.) finished just behind Young, recording a 32:11.7 clocking.
Rounding out the top seven for Augsburg was
Phoebe Novitsky (SO, Coon Rapids, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) and
Erika Coe (FY, Roseville, Minn.), who finished in 32:56.2 and 33:12.6 respectively.
The Auggies will be off this weekend as they prepare for the NCAA Central Regional meet on Saturday Nov. 14 at Grinell College.
