19 Augsburg student-athletes named Academic All-MIAC

MIAC ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE

MINNEAPOLIS (6/26/09) -- A total of 19 Augsburg College student-athletes earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors from winter and spring sports, it was announced recently by the conference.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for the recognition. Athletically, student-athletes in basketball, hockey, baseball, softball and tennis must compete in 50% of their team's varsity regular season contests to be eligible. Swimming & diving student-athletes must qualify for the conference finals while track & field participants must earn honorable mention status in an individual event or place in the top three as a relay team at the conference championships to earn the honor.
