RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg women's swimming and diving team finished fourth out of five teams with 132 team points at the Macalester Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Mac's Riley Pool. The College of St. Benedict won the women's meet with 787.5 points, followed by St. Catherine, who finished second with 584.5 points.
Augsburg was led by
Julie Zollner (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS), who recorded the highest finishes of the day for the Auggies, with a pair of fourth-place finishes in the finals of the 100 and 200 backstroke. In the 200 back, Zollner recorded a time of 2:35.76, an improvement of six seconds from her time in the same race a week ago. Zollner's time in the 100 back (1:11.40) was a two second improvement from last week. Zollner also finished seventh in the 50 back (32.30) and was a member of the 200 medley relay (4th place, 2:15.34) and 200 freestyle relay (4th place, 2:01.13).
Also having a good meet for the Auggies was
Laura Moe (SO, Clackamas, Ore.), who finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:19.68, nearly a second faster than her time a week ago. Moe also finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke (2:53.26), 15th in the 50 breaststroke (37.06) and 26th in the 50 freestyle (29.92). She also teammed up with Zollner on the Auggies three relay teams.

Amy Storlie (19th, 50 breaststroke, 41.40); Niclole Nader (20th, 50 breaststroke, 54.35); Nader (9th, 100 breaststroke, 2:01.10); Lawrence (8th, 200 breaststroke, 2:57.63); Neff (7th, 100 butterfly, 1:18.66).
The Augsburg women's swimming and diving team will hit the water again on Feb. 5-6, as it travels to the Univ. of Minn. to take part in the Minnesota Challenge.
