LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Katie Lamirande (SO, Cloquet, Minn.) and Elise Hedlund (SR, Robbinsdale, Minn./Cooper HS) scored goals for Augsburg College, but the Auggies dropped a 4-2 decision to Lake Forest College in a nonconference women's hockey game on Saturday night at the Alumni Memorial Rink.

Lamirande scored from Amy Wenzel (SO, Sun Prairie, Wis.) at the 7:28 mark of the second period, and Hedlund scored a power-play goal from Jeanna Dudley (SO, Lindenhurst, Ill./Lakes Community HS) at the 18:29 mark of the second period.

Augsburg (0-2-0 overall) was outshot by Lake Forest (2-0-0) by a 60-32 margin. Augsburg goalie Alex Hall (FY, Burnsville, Minn.), making her collegiate debut, had 56 saves in goal, while Lake Forest goalie Brittany Lemke had 30 saves.

Sam Herron had a goal and assist for Lake Forest, with Jessica Dare, Emily Cornett and Emily White also scoring goals for the Foresters.

Augsburg returns to action with a nonconference game at St. Scholastica on Friday (11/5) at 7 p.m. in Duluth, Minn.
