Auggies fall at UST

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. -- Alex Hall collected 36 saves in goal for Augsburg College, but the Auggies suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the University of St. Thomas in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey game on Saturday afternoon at the St. Thomas Ice Arena.

St. Thomas (2-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 MIAC) outshot Augsburg (0-5-0 overall, 0-2-0 MIAC) by a 40-16 margin in the game, en route to a sweep of the weekend series.

Katie Lamirande had three shots for Augsburg, while Amy Wenzel and Jess Geisinger had two shots each.

Augsburg returns to MIAC play next weekend with a two-game series against St. Catherine.
