MEET RESULTS

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Augsburg College women's swimmer Samantha Hebzynski (FY, Maple Grove, Minn.) set a collegiate personal best in the 500-yard freestyle in competition at the University of St. Thomas Invitational, held on Friday and Saturday.

Hebzynski cut nearly two seconds off of her previous personal best with a 6:24.58 clocking, almost four seconds better than her initial collegiate effort this season. She placed 22nd in the event at the St. Thomas meet, and also finished 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:27.82) and 16th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:45.57).

Carmen Lovato (FY, Oakland, Calif./Bayhill HS) also competed for Augsburg at the St. Thomas meet, placing 16th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:39.55), 22nd in the 100-yard freestyle (1:29.10) and 28th in the 50-yard freestyle (37.66 seconds).

Augsburg is now idle for the holiday break, and will return to action on Jan. 3 at the Key Largo (Fla.) Relays.
