MEET RESULTS

ST. PAUL, Minn-- Shane Pantila (JR, St. Michael, Minn./SM-Albertville HS) recorded a second place finish in the triple jump to lead the Augsburg College men's track and field team at theTomcat Twilight Meet Friday evening. No team results were recorded at the meet.

Also performing well for the Auggies in the triple jump competition were Emmanuel Marcellino (SO, Circle Pines, Minn./Centennial HS) and Seth Norberg (SO, Northfield, Minn.) Marcellino recorded an outdoor season best distance of 13.22m and finished in sixth place. Norberg also recorded his best outdoor distance of the season at 12.37m to finish in twelfth place. 

Augsburg's Rick Wolke (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn.) recorded a fifth place finish in the 100m sprint with a season best time of 10.98.   

Two Auggie sprinters collected top ten finishes in the 200m event. James Strand (SR, Brainerd, Minn.) finished in seventh place, recording a time of 22.64, while Nick Ward (JR, Coon Rapids, Minn.) finished in tenth place with a time of 22.76.

Two Augsburg relay teams performed well, as the 4x100 relay team recorded a third place finish with a time of 42.09, while the Augsburg 4x400 team finished in sixth place with a time of 3:23.85. 

Augsburg returns to action Saturday as they travel to Northfield, Minn. to participate in the Carleton College Relays.
