Telphia, relay lead Auggies at St. Olaf meet

MEET RESULTS

NORTHFIELD, Minn.-- Augsburg College's Shanek Telphia (FY, Chicago, Ill./Gage Park HS) posted her personal-best time in the 100-meter dash, recording an outdoor-best 12.37 seconds to finish in first place at the St. Olaf Manitou Field Classic Saturday afternoon. No team results were recorded. 

Also finishing in first place for the Auggies was hurdler Caroline Senungi (JR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS). Senugi recorded a season-best time of 15.62 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, which ranks as the fastest recorded time in the MIAC thus far in the outdoor season.

Augsburg's 400-meter relay team continues to perform well during the outdoor season, as they broke the school record for the second weekend in a row to finish in first place with a time of 48.99 seconds.

Augsburg's Ashley Carney (FY, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) finished in seventh place in the 200-meter dash, recording an outdoor-best time of 26.53. 

The Auggies return to action this Wednesday evening (4/21)  when they travel to St. Paul to participate in the Hamline University Twilight Meet.
