INVITATIONAL RESULTS
COLFAX, Wis. --
Stefani Zappa (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Patrick Henry HS) earned co-medalist honors with an 82 score, leading the Augsburg College women's golf team at its final meet of the 2009-10 season, the University of Wisconsin-Stout Invitational, held Friday at the Whitetail Golf Course.
Zappa's 82, which tied with two others for co-medalist honors, was her second-best score of the season and best of her five rounds in the spring half of the season. Zappa, whose 86.4 season stroke average was the fourth-best single-season stroke average in school history, recorded 13 of the team's best 17 individual rounds this season.
Augsburg had just three golfers compete in the three-school, 17-golfer event.
Megan Dale (SR, Northfield, Minn.) shot a career-best 92 in her final collegiate meet to place 13th, and
Jill Ferguson (FY, Batavia, Ill.) shot a 96 to place 15th.
As a team, Augsburg finished with one of the best seasons in the 16-year history of the program. Augsburg finished with a 374.3 season-long stroke average, the third-best team stroke average in school history.
