ROCHESTER THUNDER SITE
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College men's soccer midfielder #T.J. Haag# (JR, Apple Valley, Minn./Burnsville HS) will be playing for the Rochester Thunder, a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League team, this summer.
The Thunder are in the USL's Premier Development League, considered the top level of amateur soccer in the nation. The Thunder play in the seven-team Heartland Division of the USL PDL. Rochester has its home opener on Sunday (5/23) at 3 p.m., hosting St. Louis at the Rochester Community and Technical College field.
Haag is the lone Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player on the Thunder roster, and one of only three NCAA Division III players on the 25-player roster.
In his first season at Augsburg in 2009, Haag recorded an assist in 12 games (nine starts). Haag played his first two collegiate seasons at Dakota County Technical College, where he earned junior college all-region honors in both 2006 and 2007.
