AUGSBURG INVITATIONAL WEBPAGE
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg College volleyball team finished up their weekend of play at the Augsburg Invitational Saturday afternoon, after losing to Northwestern College- Roseville in the tournaments fifth-place game. The Auggies season record now stands at 6-6 on the year.

In their first match of the invitational, Augsburg jumped out to a quick three-set victory over the Eagles.
Amanda Unze (SO, Chanhassen, Minn./Chaska HS) and
Colleen Ourada (FY, Omaha, Neb./Mercy HS) led the Auggie offensive attack, as Unze recorded a season-high 14 kills in the match, while Ourada chipped in with nine.

Jessica Hilk (SR, Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran HS) recorded another outstanding effort to anchor the Auggies defensively, recording a season-best 18 digs in the match. Hilk also added four service aces, while
Emily McCourt (FY, Sun Prairie, Wis.) recorded 29 assists and three service aces in the match.
St. Benedict 3, Augsburg 2 (25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 23-25, 13-15)

In an exciting five-set match against defending MIAC champion St. Benedict, Augsburg won the first two sets before eventually falling to the Blazers. Augsburg was led offensively by Unze, Ourada, and
Katie Christensen (SR, North Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) who recorded a season-best 17 kills during the match.
The Auggies also received key contributions defensively from Hilk and
Amy Jo Opsal (JR, North Mankato, Minn./St. Clair HS.) Hilk recorded a career-high 30 digs in the match, while Opsal added 19 digs and two service aces.
Emily McCourt added a career-best 44 set assists in the match to aid the Auggie offensive attack.
#12 Wisconsin-Eau Claire 3, Augsburg 0

Despite jumping out to an early lead in each of the first two matches, Augsburg fell to WIAC power Eau Claire in straight sets Saturday morning.
Katie Christensen led the Augsburg offensive attack with 15 kills, while
Amanda Unze and
Micha Sater (SO, Fridley, Minn./Centennial HS) added eight kills apeice.
The match marks just the second time this season in which Augsburg has lost to an opponent in straight sets.
Northwestern-Roseville 3, Augsburg 1 (25-16, 25-21, 24-26, 25-20)

Augsburg lost their final match of the tournament to the Eagles despite a balanced scoring attack led by Unze and Ourada. Unze recorded 11 kills in the match, while Ourada added nine, and
