HAM LAKE, Minn. --
Joel Kociemba (SR, Andover, Minn./St. Francis HS) shot a two-day 153 total to tie for sixth place, leading the Augsburg College men's golf team at the Augsburg Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Majestic Oaks Golf Club.
Kociemba shot rounds of 78 and 75 to lead the Auggies, who finished 12th at the 14-school, 19-team tournament with a 36-hole total of 640 (319-321).
Zach Johnson (SO, Sartell, Minn.) and
Chris Tobkin (SO, Willmar, Minn./New London-Spicer HS) each shot totals of 162 to tie for 50th in the 111-player event.
Jason Henning (SR, Coon Rapids, Minn.) and
Terry Gibbons (JR, Westlake, Ohio) each shot 165, and
Brian Deuel (JR, Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) shot 166.
For Augsburg's Gray (2) squad,
Tucker Williams (JR, Roseville, Minn.) led the way with a 161 total (75-86), while
Matt Kowalski (SO, Marinette, Wis.) shot 162,
Alex Umland (SR, Maple Grove, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) shot 167,
Tim Herrmann (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn.) shot 172 and
Sam Ringstad (SR, Prior Lake, Minn.) shot 194. Competing as individuals,
Matt Bendzick (JR, Chaska, Minn.) shot 188 and
Mark Langdon (FY, Omaha, Neb./Flathead HS) shot 192.
Augsburg returns to action next Saturday and Sunday (9/18-19) at the St. John's Fall Invitational.
Final scores from the Augsburg Fall Invitational men's golf tournament are posted on the link above. The tournament was played at the Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minn., on Saturday and Sunday.
Gustavus won the 14-school, 19-team tournament with a two-day, 36-hole total of 611 (297-314). Luther's Tobias Kohl recorded a hole-in-one on the par-3, 173-yard No. 15 hole with an 8-iron.
