EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- Stefani Zappa (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Patrick Henry HS) led the Augsburg women's golf team in action at the Georgianni Memorial University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. 

Zappa finished with a two-day total of 184 (96-88) to finish tied for 49th place. As a team the Auggies finished in 16th place with a two-day total of 790 (404-386) in the 21-team event held at the Mill Run and Wild Ridge Golf Courses.

Johanna Frykmark (SR, Taby, Sweden/Rollingby Gymnasium HS) and Ashley Lindemann (FY, Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) were the next finishers for the Auggies, finishing in 63rd (96-94 --190) and 86th places (106-100 --206) respectively. Megan Dale (SR, Northfield, Minn.) and Jill Ferguson (SO, Batavia, Ill.) finished in 94th (108-104 -- 212) and 95th (106-109--215) place to round out the top five for Augsburg.

Newcomers McKay Karl (FY, Belle Plaine, Minn.) and Margaret Hughes (FY, Mendota Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) recorded scores of 111-120--231 and 122-127--249.

Augsburg returns to action on Friday (9/10) when it travels to Detroit Lakes, Minn. to take part in the Concordia College-Moorhead Cobber Open.
