MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Scoring three goals in the second period and three goals in the third period, the Concordia College-Moorhead women's hockey team pulled away for a 7-0 win over Augsburg College in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest on Friday evening at the Moorhead Sports Center.
Jenna Westerham scored two goals with two assists, Emily Sell had a goal and three assists, and Abby Taffe scored two goals for Concordia (9-6-1 overall, 3-5-1 MIAC). Ali Nelson and Kristina Westmark had the other Cobber goals, and Allie Bonde added two assists.
Alex Hall (FY, Burnsville, Minn.) collected 41 saves in goal for Augsburg (2-9-1 overall, 0-6-1 MIAC), with
Grace Edgar (SR, Plano, Texas/Plano West HS) recording three saves in relief in the third period.
Concordia outshot Augsburg by a 51-23 margin.
Erin Leyden (SR, Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South HS) had six shots on goal for the Auggies, while
Jenna Knudtson (SR, Austin, Minn.) had four shots.
The teams complete the MIAC series on Saturday (1/22) at 2 p.m. at Concordia.
