ARDEN HILLS, Minn. --
Serenae Levine (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn) recorded her second double-double of the season in leading the Augsburg College women's basketball team in a 76-51 loss to Bethel University at the Robertson Center on Saturday afternoon in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
Levine, recorded her second double-double of the year and fourth of her career, as she scored 21 points and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of action for Augsburg (2-9 overall, 1-7 MIAC). Also finishing in double figures for the Auggies was
Lexi Thompson (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS), who had a solid afternoon scoring a season-high 11 points, adding five rebounds and four assists, on 4-of-6 shooting from the floor and 3-of-3 from the charity stripe.
Bethel (6-4 overall, 4-3 MIAC) was led by the duo of Scottie Moats and Taylor Sheley. Moats posted 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Royals, while Sheley had 20 points, five rebounds and four assists.
The game remained close in the first half, but a large Bethel run to start the second half proved to be the difference in the contest. Augsburg was able to put together an 11-0 run over a 2:04 span late in the game, but the Auggies couldn't complete the comeback as they fell 76-51.
For the game, Augsburg shot 32.1 percent (18-of-56) from the field, while the Royals converted on 43.3 percent (26-of-60) of their shots. Bethel claimed a 45-39 advantage on the boards and 25-18 advantage in turnovers.
