MINNEAPOLIS -- Due to the large crowd anticipated at Edor Nelson Field for Saturday's (10/8) Augsburg College home football game against the University of St. Thomas, Augsburg will be pre-selling tickets for the game at the Augsburg athletic office in Si Melby Hall.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for students. All Augsburg students, faculty and staff receive free admission (with Augsburg ID) to all Augsburg home regular-season events, but must have a ticket to enter the stadium.

Tickets can be purchased or picked up in person at the Augsburg athletic office in Si Melby Hall from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday (10/7). St. Thomas fans can purchase tickets at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex ticket office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and (if St. Thomas' allotment is not sold out on Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. Tickets must be purchased or picked up in person; no phone or online sales will be permitted. This includes free tickets for Augsburg students, faculty, staff and others (alumni/parents, etc.). An A-Club pass, MIAC pass, MSHSL pass, or Augsburg student/faculty/staff ID does not guarantee individuals entrance to the stadium; ALL individuals wishing to watch the game must have a ticket to enter -- which means getting them before Friday at 12 p.m. or first-come, first-serve on Saturday.

Due to the high demand with two unbeaten teams playing on Saturday, extra bleachers are being procured for Edor Nelson Field for Saturday's game. There will be additional bleachers on the north and southeast sides of the field, and a standing-room-only area will be set up on the southwest side of the field. There will be NO reserved seats for Saturday's game; all seating is general admission. Seats are not guaranteed, and there will be no holding seats or rows for other fans. Please arrive early to secure a seat.

Gates will open at 11 a.m. for the game, with kickoff at 1:10 p.m. Tickets will be available at the gates prior to the game, or until sold out.

TRAFFIC
Due to the construction project on Riverside Avenue adjacent to the Augsburg athletic facilities area (click here for more info), there are some traffic changes that will affect visitors to the Augsburg campus.

Riverside Avenue is closed from Franklin Avenue to 23rd Avenue South. Click on this link to access how to get to the east side (athletics and Lot L) and west side (academics/residential) of the Augsburg campus. Lot L is NOT ACCESSIBLE by car from the west side of campus.

If you are parked on the east side of campus (Lot L), access to Interstate 94 to leave campus isn't changed (entrance ramps off of Butler Place for westbound I-94 and off of 9th Street South to eastbound I-94). However, if you are parked on the west side of campus (23rd Avenue and west), access to Interstate 94 to leave campus is changed.

Follow these directions to access I-94 when leaving from the west side of the Augsburg campus:
To get to I-94 eastbound (to St. Paul),
take Riverside Avenue to 20th Avenue South, take a left on 20th Avenue South, follow it over the overpass to the stoplight at Minnehaha/Cedar Avenue. Take a right on Cedar Avenue and the I-94 eastbound entrance ramp is about two blocks ahead on the right.

To get to I-94 westbound (to Minneapolis), take Riverside Avenue to 20th Avenue South. Take a left on 20th Avenue South, follow it over the overpass to the stoplight at Minnehaha/Cedar Avenue. Take a left at the stoplight (Minnehaha Avenue), and another left at the next stoplight to Franklin Avenue. Follow Franklin Avenue to the stoplight at 26th Avenue South, take a left, and follow the street over the overpass to the stoplight at Butler Place. Take a left onto Butler Place and onto the I-94 westbound entrance ramp.

PARKING
Parking will be available in campus lots (including Lot L, the large lot adjacent to Augsburg athletic facilities - click here for campus map) and on most streets around the campus. Please note that all on-street parking has time limits or is metered; please be aware of the time limits where you park.

However, there will be NO PARKING on Saturday on 23rd Avenue South (the street adjacent to Si Melby Hall and the Kennedy Center) from Butler Place to Riverside Avenue, in order to accommodate detour traffic from the Riverside Avenue construction project.

Also, athletic event spectators can park in the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview "Yellow Ramp" (click for map). The entrance is located off of 23rd Avenue South, north of Riverside Avenue and behind the HealthPartners clinic -- roughly a three-block walk to the Augsburg athletic facilities. Hourly rates for the Yellow Ramp: $2 for 0-to-1/2 hour; $3 for 1/2-to-1 hour; $4 for 1-to-1 1/2 hours; $5 for 1 1/2-to-2 1/2 hours; $6 for 2 1/2-to-3 1/2 hours; $7 for 3 1/2-to-5 hours; $8 for 5-to-6 hours; $9 for 6-to-7 hours; $10 for 7-plus hours.
