"The girls swam well tonight." commented coach Clauson-Lange. "The 200 free relay took off time, Kelsey took 20 seconds off in her 1000.
Abby Novak took off time in both of her individual swims. We're just starting to figure out which events the girls are really going to train for. We're using the weekend to give us a good look at what it feels like to swim meets back to back and also to give a good starting point for the events the girls will be swimming the rest of the season."
Other top performers of the night included: Mitchell with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:16.87), Novak, recording a seventh-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (1:07.66) and eighth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (29.27), and Hilgendorf with a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard IM (2:41.93).
The Auggies return to action on Saturday (11/19), as they travel to St. Paul to take part in the Macalester College Roger Ahlman Invitational. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
