It was a very entertaining afternoon in Minneapolis with a game that featured eight lead changes and four tied scores, all of which came in the first half. Hines connected on three three-pointers in the opening five minutes of play to give the Auggies a spark.

Augsburg trailed 17-12 at the 12:14 mark, then went on a 14-2 run to take a seven point lead with just over five minutes to play in the first half. Augsburg was able to post a 33-25 lead at the intermission, which would be a lead the Auggies would never give up. Bethel was able to cut the Augsburg lead to five in the second half but couldn't get any closer as the Auggies hung on for the 70-60 win.

For the game, Augsburg shot 40.7 percent (24-of-59), while Bethel hit 41.5 percent (22-of-53) of its shots. The Auggies claimed a narrow 36-35 advantage on the boards and committed only eight turnovers on the night.
