2010-11 MIAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL AWARDS
MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College's
Serenae Levine (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn.) earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorable mention honors, while
Lexi Thompson (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team, it was announced today by the conference office.
As a guard, Levine led the Auggies in scoring (10.4 ppg), rebounding (7.0 rpg), assists (4.2 apg) and minutes played (29.5 mpg). She finished the season ranked in the top-25 in the MIAC in scoring, seventh in rebounding and second in assists. In her career, she has played 70 games, averaging 10.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.0 assist per-game. Levine currently sits third in school history in career assists (278).
Thompson was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team, a part of the conference's
sportsmanship initiative. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the court. Thompson played in all 25 games for the Auggies, averaging 5.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and team-leading 53 steals. In her career, she has played in 75 games, averaging 5.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per-game. Thompson currently sits 14th all-time on the schools career steals list (138).
In its seventh season under head coach Jennifer Britz, Augsburg finished 5-20 overall and 4-18 in MIAC play.
