AUGSBURG TWIN CITIES OPENER RESULTS

HAM LAKE, Minn. -- Ashley Lindemann (SO, Fargo, N.D./Fargo South HS) led Augsburg College with a sixth-place individual finish, as the Augsburg College women's golf team opened its season with its Twin Cities Opener tournament on Saturday at the Majestic Oaks Golf Course.

Lindemann led the Auggies with a score of 98 in the four-team tournament. Augsburg finished in third place with a 419 total.

Jill Ferguson (JR, Batavia, Ill.) shot 103 for the Auggies, while Kelli Linton (FY, Keizer, Ore./McNary HS) shot 106, Emilee Howe (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn.) shot 112 and Margaret Hughes (SO, Mendota Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) shot 113.

Competing as individuals, Courtney Barthel (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) shot 103, McKay Karl (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn.) shot 110 and Nikki Johnson (SO, Upsala, Minn.) shot 134.

Augsburg returns to action with a pair of meets next weekend hosted by Concordia-Moorhead at the Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes, Minn. -- the Concordia Cobber Open on Friday (9/9) and the Concordia Invitational next Saturday and Sunday (9/10-11).
