MEET RESULTS
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn.--
Ashley Carney (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) scored two first place finishes in the 60- and 200-meter dash competitions to lead the Augsburg College women's track and field team at the College of St. Benedict Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Carney, who currently holds the fastest time among MIAC competitors in the 60-meter dash this season, clocked a time of 7.90 seconds to win the 60, and recorded a time of 26.81 seconds to finish first in the 200. Carney has now finished first in three of the six races she has competed in during the 2012 indoor season.
Augsburg sprinter
Molly Allen (FY, Stillwater, Minn.) also performed well Saturday, as she recorded a fourth-place finish in the 60, while clocking a personal best time of 8.35 seconds. Allen later recorded a sixth-place finish in the 200, as she finished with a personal best time of 28.03 seconds.
Tabby Roh (FY, La Crosse, Wis./Central HS) also posted a season-best performance Saturday, finishing the 200-meter dash in a time of 28.20 seconds to finish in eighth-place.
Competing in her first collegiate indoor competition, Augsburg sprinter
Abby Kangas (FY, Eagan, Minn.) recorded a time of 8.61 seconds in the 60, and a time of 29.69 in the 200.
In the middle distances,
Jennifer Pulscher (SR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS) recorded a season best performance in the 800-meter dash, as she finished with a time of 2:44.21.
The Auggies return to action on Saturday (2/18) at the University of Minnesota Parents Day Open in Minneapolis.
