MEET RESULTS
ARDEN HILLS, Minn.--
Ashley Carney (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) recorded a personal-best time in the 200-meter dash to lead the Augsburg College women's track and field team at the Bethel Invitational Saturday afternoon. No team results were recorded at the meet.
Carney, the reigning MIAC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, recorded a time of 26.50 seconds to finish in third-place in the 200-meter dash.
According to the race website raceberryjam.com, Carney currently owns the seventh-fastest time among MIAC participants in the 200-meter dash during the indoor season.
Another Auggie who performed well at the Bethel Invitational was middle distance runner
Jennifer Pulscher (SR, Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty HS). Pulscher recorded seventh-place finish in the 800-meter race, as she recorded a time of 2:47.13. In the mile run, Pulscher recorded a season-best time of 6:00.65 to finish 13th.
In the relays, the Augsburg 4x200 meter team of Carney,
Molly Allen (FY, Stillwater, Minn.),
Abby Kangas (FY, Eagan, Minn.) and
Tabby Roh (FY, LaCrosse, Wis./Central HS) recorded a time of 1:50.56 to finish in second place.
Allen recorded two other top-12 finishes in the sprint competitions, first recording a 12th-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.55 seconds. She would later record a 12th-place finish in the 200-meter dash, as she posted a season-best time of 28.15 seconds.
Pole Vaulter
Brittany Tuberg (JR, Apple Valley, Minn.) recorded a height of 2.75 meters (9-feet-0) to finish in 10th place. Tuberg currently owns the eighth-best recorded height among MIAC competitors this season in the pole vault.
The Auggies will return to action next weekend when they travel to Collegeville, Minn. to participate in the St. John's University/College of St. Benedict Invitational.
