SATURDAY'S RESULTS

GRINNELL, Iowa-- Augsburg College sprinter Ashley Carney (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) recorded an eighth-place finish in the finals of the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Division III National Championships hosted by Grinnell College Saturday afternoon.

Carney, who is the first Augsburg women's track and field athlete to earn indoor All-American honors since 2006, clocked a time of 7.81 seconds en-route to the eighth-place finish. The event marked the first NCAA Championship Meet finals appearance for Carney during her tenure at Augsburg.

With her finals appearance, Carney has claimed Augsburg's 32nd women's track and field All-American honor. Augsburg has had 60 qualifiers for the women's track and field national competition in school history (55 in NCAA competition since 1985, five in NAIA competition in 1982-83).
