MEET RESULTS
NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Mike Harley (FY, Sugar Hill, Ga./Stillwater (Minn.) HS) claimed an event victory in the high jump, leading the Augsburg College men's track and field team at the Carleton College Relays on Saturday at Laird Stadium.
Harley scored the victory in the high jump, clearing 1.93 meters (6-feet-4), just shy of his season-best of 2.00 meters (6-feet-6.75), cleared at last Friday's Wisconsin-River Falls Falcon Invitational. That height currently ranks
second-best among Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference competitors and
25th-best among NCAA Division III competitors nationally.
Harley also placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (16.48 seconds) and 18th in the 100-meter dash (11.888 seconds).
Rick Wolke (SR, Belle Plaine, Minn.) finished second for the Auggies in the 400-meter dash with a 49.70-second time. Teammate
Joe Arnold (SR, Grand Rapids, Minn.) finished fourth in the 400 with a season-best 49.740-second time, while also placing third in the 200-meter dash in 23.09 seconds. Wolke and Arnold entered this weekend's action with the top two times among MIAC competitors in the 200-meter dash, Wolke at 21.64 seconds (13th-fastest in Division III) and Arnold at 21.93 seconds (26th-fastest in Division III).
Fabien Dubbe (FY, New Prague, Minn.) also recorded two top-10 finishes for the Auggies on Saturday, finishing fourth in the 200-meter dash in 23.15 seconds, and ninth in the 400-meter dash in a season-best 50.52 seconds.
In his first collegiate competition in the javelin throw, Augsburg's
John Spray (FY, Mount Dora, Fla./Mount Dora Bible HS) finished ninth with a 41.94-meter (137-feet-7) effort.
Also competing for the Auggies on Saturday:
Ryan Cook (SO, Wetumpka, Ala.) in the 800-meter run (2:15.53) and the 1,500-meter run (4:30.022);
Luke Iverson (FY, Maple Grove, Minn.) in the 200-meter dash (25.27 seconds) and 400-meter dash (53.55 seconds);
Daniel Gerber (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) in the 5,000-meter run (16:35.57); and
Trevor Rodriguez-Sotelo (SO, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) in the 200-meter dash (25.72 seconds).
Augsburg will return to action at the Drake (Iowa) Relays and the Gustavus Drake Alternative Meet next weekend.
