2013 MIAC SOFTBALL AWARDS
2013 NFCA DIVISION III ALL-REGION TEAMS

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College softball player Bri Dorale (SR, Ramsey, Minn./Anoka HS) was named to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball squad and was a first-team honoree on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-Midwest Region Team, it was announced on Friday. In addition, Augsburg's Lindsay Helbach (SO, Amherst, Wis.) and Allyson Ruedy (SR, Waseca, Minn.) were All-MIAC Honorable Mention recipients, and Ruedy was also named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

It's the second All-MIAC and first all-region honor for Dorale, who was named as an All-MIAC honoree in 2010. It's the first MIAC recognition for Helbach and the second MIAC recognition for Ruedy, who was an All-MIAC and all-region third-team honoree last season. Dorale's recognition is the 34th NFCA All-Region honor for an Augsburg player since 1984 and the 16th all-region first-team honor.
