MEET RESULTS
ARDEN HILLS, Minn.--
Barinedum Kordah (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center) finished in first-place in the long jump to lead the Augsburg men's track and field team at the Gene Glader Classic at Bethel University Saturday afternoon. No team results were recorded at the meet.
The men's track and field team competed at a high level on Saturday with 13 personal records being broken and eight top-five finishes.
Undre Smith-Brewer (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson) and
Lekpea Kordah (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./St. Louis Park) continued their strong indoor season by finishing in second and third-place in the 60-meter dash with times of 7.00 and 7.08 seconds respectively.
Phil Putratz (FY, Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa) crossed the 60-meter finish line in 7.48 seconds, good enough for eighth place, while Festus Lamin (FY, Little Canada, Minn./Roseville) recorded a personal record with a time of 7.67 seconds.
Putratz ran a personal best time in the 200-meter dash finishing in third-place with a time of 23.58. Lamin continued his string of personal bests crossing the finish line in 25.37 seconds, while fellow first-year
Leslie Adjei also recorded a personal best time of 26.09.
Fabien Dubbe (SO, New Prague, Minn.) ran the 400-meter dash in 51.98 seconds and finished in second place.
Mohamed Mohamed (FY, Eden Prairie, Minn) recorded a personal best time in the 800-meter run finishing in seventh-place with a time of 2:00.07.
Luke Iverson (SO, Maple Grove, Minn.) finished the race with a time of 2:02.23, while
Luke Erickson (FY, Chippewa Falls) and fellow first-year
Tedros Kifle both recorded personal best times of 2:03.25 and 2:19.94 respectively.
Micheale Tesema (JR, Burnsville, Minn.) completed the one mile run in second-place with a time of 4:25.56 and
Ahmed Nur (FY, Edina, Minn.) finished in eighth-place with a personal best time of 4:42.57.
Chris Huss (FY, Jordan/Minn.),
Zach Richards (FY, Brookston, Minn./South Ridge) and
Andrew McGillvary (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) all recorded personal bests in the one mile run as well with times of 4:50.93, 4:51.74 and 4:54.87 respectively.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Smith-Brewer, Erickson,
Marcus Buls (FY, Waterloo, Iowa/Columbus), and
Barinedum Kordah finished in 5th place with a time of 3:35.12. First-year high jumper
Walter Foster-Bolton recorded a personal best jump with a height of 5'5.75", and
Sean Adams (SR, Zumbrota, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa) finished in ninth-place in the pole vault clearing 8'8.25".
Jesse Kuusisto (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) also recorded a personal best distance of 39'6.75" in the weight throw.
Augsbug will return to action on Saturday (2/15) as they travel to Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. to participate in the Carleton College Meet of the Hearts.
