MIAC OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS PAGEMEN'S FINAL RESULTS | WOMEN'S FINAL RESULTSNORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men's and women's track and field teams competed in the final day of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Manitou Field on the campus of St. Olaf College. The men's team finished in ninth place with 33.5 team points, while the women's team finished in 10th place with 25.0 points.

For the Auggie men, the 1,600-meter relay team of
Fabien Dubbe (JR, New Prague, Minn.),
Chase Grieves (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn),
Mohamed Mohamed (SO, Eden Prairie, Minn.) and
Barinedum Kordah (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) claimed a second-place finish and All-MIAC honorable mention honors with a time of 3:18.07. Kordah led the Auggie rally in the final lap, moving up several spots to second place.
Grieves earned All-MIAC honorable mention honors as well, finishing in fourth place with a time of 54.92 in the 400-meter hurdles, whileÂ
Undre Smith-Brewer (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) and
Phil Putratz (FY, Mazeppa, Minn.) earned All-MIAC honorable mention finishes in the 100-meter dash with times of 11.093 and 11.286, good enough for fourth and seventh respectively.
Kordah finished in seventh place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.71 seconds. Mohamed finished 10th in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:06.79.
Sean Adams (SO, Zumbrota, Minn.) finished with a distance of 13.00 meters (42-feet-8) in the triple jump.
Augsburg's 400-meter relay of Putratz, Kordah, Dubbe and Smith-Brewer finished in seventh place with a 43.09-second time.
Matt Green (JR, Victoria, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS),Â
Jesse Kuusisto (FY, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) and
Michael Kantor (SO, Columbia Heghts, Minn.) competed in the discus throw and finished with distances of 41.61 meters (136-feet-6), 38.06 meters (124-feet-11) and 37.53 meters (123-feet-1) respectively.Â
On the women's side,
Lauren Rice (SR, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) claimed All-MIAC honors, finishing second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:43.93, and she also finished fifth, earning All-MIAC honorable mention honors in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:43.83.
Callie Jones (FY, Waubeka, Wis./Random Lake HS) also earned All-MIAC honorable mention honors in the 100-meter dash, with a fourth-place finish and time of 12.422 seconds. Jones claimed her second All-MIAC honorable mention honor in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.28, good enough to finish sixth.Â
Kayla Roberge (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Holy Angels HS) also picked up All-MIAC honorable mention honors, placing fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.67.Â
Makayla Hubbard (FY, LaGrange Park, Ill./Lyons Township HS) finished ninth in the shot put with a distance of 12.28 meters (40-feet-3.5).Â
The 400-meter relay team of
Marta Anderson (FY, Mankato, Minn/East HS), Jones,
Molly Allen (JR, Stillwater, Minn.) and
Ashley Waalen (FY, Amery, Wis.) finished in eighth with a time of 50.71, while the 1,600-meter relay team of Allen, Waalen, Anderson, and Roberge finished 10th with a time of 4:16.71.Â
Friday, May 9MEN'S DAY 1 RESULTS | WOMEN'S DAY 1 RESULTSNORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men and women's outdoor track and field teams started competition at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at St. Olaf College's Manitou Field on Friday afternoon. The men's and women's teams had a total of six outdoor personal records and one conference champion. The men finished day one in sixth place with 20.0 points, and have 11 athletes set to compete in the finals tomorrow. The women haven't recorded a point yet, but they have nine athletes ready to score big in the finals on Saturday.Â

Barinedum Kordah (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) started the championships off on the right foot and shined for the Auggies, becoming the MIAC champion in the long jump with a 6.95-meter (22-feet-9.75) effort.

Matt Green (JR, Victoria, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) also earned All-MIAC honors for the Auggies on Friday with a third-place finish in the shot put, with a personal-best distance of 14.48 meters (47-feet-6.25).

In the javelin throw, Augsburg's
Michael Kantor (SO, Columbia Heights, Minn.) finished with a distance of 39.65 meters (130-feet-1).

Mohamed Mohamed (SO, Eden Prairie, Minn.) qualified for the finals in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:11.94, and will run Saturday at 1:50 p.m.
Luke Iverson (JR, Maple Grove, Minn.) and
Luke Erickson (SO, Chippewa Falls, Wis.) finished with times of 4:32.31 and 4:23.38 respectively, but did not qualify for the finals.

Fabien Dubbe (JR, New Prague, Minn.) competed in the 400-meter run and just missed qualifying for the finals (.035 seconds) with a time of 51.94.
Two Auggies qualified for the men's 100-meter dash finals --
Undre Smith-Brewer (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) and
Phil Putratz (FY, Mazeppa, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS) -- with times of 11.03 and 11.09 respecitvely. Kordah and Putratz both competed in the 200-meter dash as well, but just Kordah qualified for the finals with a personal-record time of 22.48. Putratz's time of 22.68, also a personal record, missed the cut by just 0.16 seconds. Kordah will sprint in the finals at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.Â
Chase Grieves (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn.) qualified for the 400-meter hurdle finals with a time of 56.06 and will compete Saturday at 3:20 p.m.
Ryan Cook (SR, Wetumpka, Ala) competed in the 800-meter run and finished with a time of 2:00.41, just missing qualifying for the finals.Â
The Auggies' 3,200-meter relay team of Cook, Mohamed, Iverson, and Grieves recorded a seventh-place finish with a time of 8:07.04, and the 400-meter relay team of Putratz, Kordah, Dubbe, and Smith-Brewer qualified for the finals with a time of 44.76 and will race in the finals on Saturday at 1:40 p.m.Â

On the women's side,Â
Lauren Rice (SR, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) is set to compete in the 1,500-meter run at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, after qualifying for the finals with a time of 4:50.70.
Taybri Irving (FY, Rosemount, Minn.) also competed in the 1,500-meter run, finishing with a time of 5:38.05.Â
Tina Angok (FY, Columbia Heights, Minn.) recorded a personal best time of 18.28 in the 100-meter hurdles, while
Marta Anderson (FY, Mankato, Minn./East HS) competed in the 400-meter dash and finished with a time of 66.50.Â
The Auggies had three competitors in the 100-meter dash --
Kai Mason (SO, Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS),
Callie Jones (FY, Waubeka, Wis./Random Lake HS) and
Molly Allen (JR, Stillwater, Minn.) -- with Jones qualifying for the finals with a personal-best time of 12.62 seconds. Mason and Allen recorded times of 13.31 and 13.39 seconds.Â
Kayla Roberge (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Holy Angels HS) and
Emma Blom (FY, Culver, Minn./South Ridge HS) competed in the 800-meter run, with Roberge earning a spot in the finals with a time of 2:20.40 and Blom finishing the race in 2:33.51.
Jones earned her second trip to the finals with another personal record time of 26.52 in the 200-meter dash. Allen,
Ashley Waalen and Mason recorded times of 27.31, 28.23 and 31.63 respectively. Jones also competed in the long jump, finishing with a 4.73-meter (15-feet-6.75) distance.
Augsburg's 4x800-meter relay team of Blom, Anderson,
Katelyn Davidson (FY, Crookston, Minn) and
Caitlin Fritz (SR, Willmar, Minn.) finished in ninth place with a time of 11:03.45. Â The Augsburg 400-meter relay squad of Mason, Jones, Allen and Waalen qualified for the finals with a time of 50:37 seconds and will compete at 1:35 p.m. on Saturday.

Augsburg will have 28 athletes (14 men, 14 women) competing at the conference outdoor meet, which begins on Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m. Both Augsburg squads are aiming to improve upon 10th-place finishes from last season.
On the women's side, Augsburg's
Lauren Rice (SR, Minnetonka, Minn./Holy Family Catholic HS) will be competing in the 1,500- and 5,000-meter runs this weekend. Rice currently has the second-fastest time in the MIAC in the 5,000-meter run (17:21.98) and third-fastest qualifying time in the 1,500 (4:42.10). She will not be competing in the 10,000-meter run, but has the
10th-fastest time among NCAA Division III runners nationally in the event (35:46.43). Her 5,000-meter top time is currently 34th-fastest nationally in Division III.
Kayla Roberge (JR, Burnsville, Minn./Holy Angels HS) is currently seeded No. 7 in the women's 800-meter run (2:19.07), while
Makayla Hubbard (FY, La Grange Park, Ill./Lyons Township HS) is seeded No. 7 in the shot put (12.51 meters/41-feet-0.5).Â
Callie Jones (FY, Waubeka, Wis./Random Lake HS) is seeded in the top 10 in three events -- tied for eighth in the long jump (5.11 meters/16-feet-9.25), ninth in the 100-meter dash (12.64 seconds) and 10th in the 200-meter dash (26.54 seconds).
