Auggies open season with win at Macalester Triangular

MEET RESULTS

ST. PAUL, Minn.- The Augburg College men's track and field team kicked off the indoor season with a great showing at the Macalester Triangular on Saturday afternoon at the Leonard Center. The Auggies finished in first place among Macalester, Virginia Wesleyan and Macalester Alumni.

FINAL RESULTS: Augsburg 1st/4 (69), Macalester (34), Macalester Alumni (18), Virginia Wesleyan (2)
LOCATION: Macalester College, St. Paul, Minn.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Undre Smith-Brewer (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) finished in first-place in the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash with times of 7.12 and 23.45 respectively. 
• Luke Iverson (SR, Maple Grove, Minn.) won the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.91.
• Luke Erickson (JR, Chippewa Falls, Wis.) finished in second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.34.
• Sean Adams (JR, Zumbrota, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.43.
• The 4x400-meter relay team of Fabien Dubbe (SR, New Prague, Minn.), Iverson, Erickson and Barinedum Kordah (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished in first-place with a time of 3:41.36.
• Deontae Heuer competed in the pole vault finished first with a height of 3.86-meters. 
• Barinedum Kordah won the long jump with a distance of 6.16-meters
• Jesse Kuusisto (SO, Brooklyn Center, Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) finished in first in the shot put with a distance of 12.82-meters. 
• Michael Kantor (JR, Columbia Heights, Minn.) finished second in the shot put and won the weight throw with distances of 12.01 and 13.59-meters. 
 
 
FOR THE FOES
• Macalester's Nolan Ebner won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.76
• Macalester's Joe Giamberdino won the mile run with a time of 4:29.06.
• Macalester Alum Auburn Jimenz finished in first in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:58.34.
