25 Auggies named Academic All-MIAC

2014-15 ACADEMIC ALL-MIAC -- FALL SPORTS

MINNEAPOLIS -- Twenty-five Augsburg College student-athletes earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors from fall sports, it was announced on Thursday by the conference office.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior (transfers must have spent a full year at their current school) with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for Academic All-MIAC recognition. Athletically, student-athletes in football, soccer, and volleyball must compete in 50 percent of their team's varsity regular-season contests. Cross country runners must finish in the top 100 at the conference championship or be in the top seven of their team at the MIAC championships.

Academic All-MIAC honorees from winter and spring sports will be announced in June.
