Auggies top St. Olaf 49-6

MINNEAPOLIS -- Winning nine of 10 bouts, including three by bonus-point margins, No. 5-ranked Augsburg College scored a 49-6 triumph over St. Olaf College in a wrestling dual meet on Friday evening at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg, ranked No. 5 in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III national poll, collected two pins and a major decision in route to the victory over the Oles.
• After collecting forfeits at 125, 133, and 141, Augsburg's No. 10-ranked Will Keeter (SR, Twin Falls, Idaho), scored his third pin of the season with a fall over William Collins (FY, Glen Ellyn, Ill.) in 1:45. With the win, Keeter moves to 23-9 overall on the season.
• Kurt Knutsen (SR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) picked up his ninth win of the season at 165 pounds with a 9-2 decision over Seth Barkosky (JR, Amboy, Minn.).
• Augsburg's Tyrell Martin (SR, Ham Lake, Minn.) claimed a 17-8 major decision over Hugh Ellerman (JR, Eldorado Hills, Calif.) at 174 pounds.
• In the final three bouts, Tommy Teigen (SR, Ham Lake, Minn., 184) and Donny Longendyke (SO, Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear Lake HS, heavyweight) both claimed wins by forfeit, while Logan Hortop (SO, Faribault, Minn.) claimed a fall over Robert Caulfield (SR, B.C., Canada) in 3:47 in action at 197 pounds. 

FOR THE FOES
• St. Olaf's Carl Elmer (SR, Farmington, Minn.) picked up the lone victory of the night for the Oles, claiming a fall over Gable Frandsen (FY, Ellsworth, Wis.) in 5:32 at 157.
