Women's Meet ResultsMOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men's track and field team finished the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference indoor championships in seventh place, improving its conference finish for the second straight year by tallying 46 points. The seventh place finish is the Auggies highest since finishing seventh at the 2011 indoor championships.Â
Barinedum Kordah continued to lead the Auggies as he recorded his third top-three finish at the indoor championships by finishing in second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.68. Kordah,
Undre Smith-Brewer,
Preston Blake and
Fabien Dubbe contributed to Augsburg's team finish by placing third in the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:31.36.Â
Augsburg's 1,600-meter relay team of Dubbe,
Mohamed Mohamed,
Luke Iverson and Kordah finished in ninth with a time of 3:29.54. Mohamed finished eighth in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:34.64, and
Abdul Salan competed in the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 18th with a time of 9:02.82.
Deontae Heuer recorded a tenth place finish in the pole vault by clearing a height of 13'5.75".Â

The women's track and field team finished in 11th place totaling 18 points over the weekend.
Callie Jones followed up on her conference championship in the 60-meter dash with a top-ten finish in the 200-meter dash on Saturday. Jones finished in ninth, crossing the finish line in 26.744 seconds.
Kayla Roberge continued her strong performance by finishing the 1,000-meter run in sixth place with a time of 3:02.53.
Ashley Waalen and
Nikaylah Woody competed in the 200-meter dash as well, finishing 22nd and 23rd with times of 28.30 and 28.498 respectively. Unfortunately Augsburg's relay teams didn't fare as well, finishing in ninth in the 800-meter relay and 11th in the 1,600-meter relay.

Women's Friday ResultsMOORHEAD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men and women's indoor track and field teams started competition at the MIAC indoor championships at Olson Forum on the campus of Concordia College-Moorhead on Friday afternoon. The Auggies claimed two Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Champions during the first full day of events and will look to build upon those results Saturday.Â

The Auggie men finished the first day tied for sixth place with 31 points, and are taking plenty of momentum into the second day. Augsburg's
Sean Adams (JR, Zumbrota, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS) set a school record in the heptahlon with 4,019 points. Heptathlon competition started on Thursday with Adams completing the 60-meter dash in a personal best 7.50 seconds, and recorded exceptional finishes in the long jump (19'9.5"), shot put (33'10.5"), high jump (5'1.25"), 60-meter hurdles (9.17 seconds), pole vault (10'10.25") and the 1,000-meter run (3:03.44) to finish in sixth place overall.Â
Undre Smith-Brewer (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) claimed his second 60-meter dash conference championship in as many years when he crossed the finish line in 6.94 seconds. Smith-Brewer and Barinedum Kordah (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) led the Auggies on day one of the MIAC indoor championships with All-Conference finishes in a number of events. For the second year in a row Kordah finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.71 seconds, while also finishing in third in the long jump with a distance of 22'0.25". Â
Mohamed Mohamed (JR, Eden Prairie, Minn.) led Augsburg in the mile run with a fifth place finish recording a time of 4:26.57, while
Luke Erickson (JR, Chippewa Falls, Wis.) and
Ibrahim Barqadle finished in 21st and 27th with times of 4:42.88 and 4:57.82 respectively.Â
Abdul Salan and
Chris Huss (SO, Jordan, Minn.) competed in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 11th and 17th with times of 15:46.15 and 16:53.41 respectively.
Luke Iverson ran in the 800-meter run and recorded a time of 2:03.91, good enough for 16th. Augsburg's distance medley relay team of Salan,
Fabien Dubbe, Erickson, and Mohamed finished in 10th with a time of 11:00.03.Â
The Auggie women finished the day in 11th place with 15 points, highlighted by the MIAC 60-meter dash champion,
Callie Jones (SO, Waubeka, Wis./Random Lake HS) and Kayla Roberge's (SR, Burnsville, Minn./Holy Angels) top-five finish in the 800-meter run.

Jones won the sprint by the slimmest of margins with a time of 7.856 seconds, just .009 seconds in front of Miriam Nordquist of Bethel University. Roberge finished in fourth with a time of 2:20.10 in the 800-meter run.Â
Kali Kuusisto (SO, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) qualified for the finals in the weight throw and finished in ninth with a distance of 44'10".
Taybri Irving (SO, Rosemount, Minn.) competed in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 17th with a time of 20:31.94, while
Mary Cornelius (SO, Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins HS) finished 15th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.59.Â
First-year
Nikaylah Woody competed in the 400-meter dash, recording a 16th place finish with a time of 63.04. Augsburg's distance medley relay team of Irving, Woody, first-year
Blair Stewig and Katie Davidson (SO, Crookston, Minn.) finished in 11th with a time of 14:25.12.Â
