Auggies record seven personal bests at Twilight Meet

MEET RESULTS

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Augsburg College men's track and field team competed at the Bolstorff Twitlight Meet Thursday evening at Macalester Stadium.
With only a portion of their team competing the Auggie men captured seven top-ten finishes against a field of 16 teams ranging from Division I to Division III.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Abdul Salan finished seventh in the 1,500 meter run with a personal record time of 4:11.46.
Luke Erickson (JR, Chippewa Falls, Wis.) also competed in the 1,500 meter run, and finished in ninth with a time of 4:12.16.
Jesse Kuusisto (SO, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) recorded a personal record and ninth-place finish in the discus with a distance of 131'2". Kuusisto placed eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 148'11" as well.
Michael Kantor (JR, Columbia Heights, Minn.) recorded a personal best distance and ninth-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 146'3", while placing 10th in the discus with a distance of 125'11".
Logan Hortop (SO, Faribault, Minn.) placed 10th in the javelin with a personal best distance of 137'2".
Isiah Sims recorded the best time for the Auggies in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.64, while Festus Lamin was Augsburg's top cometitor in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.35.
Wilson Musabyimana (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Como Park Sr HS) finished the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.35.
Luke Iverson (SR, Maple Grove, Minn.) competed in the 800 meter run and finished with a time of 2:00.28, while Michael Sell recorded a personal best time of 2:22.91.
Sean Adams (JR, Zumbrota, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS) cleared 5'2.25" in the high jump, and 9'8" in the pole vault.
Augsburg's long jumper was Walter Foster-Bolton (SO, Hopkins, Minn.), who recorded a distance of 17'9.75".
Kantor was Augsburg's top shot putter as well, and recorded a distance of 40'6.25".

UP NEXT
• The Auggies will travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake University Relays over the weekend (4/23-25).
