MEET RESULTS

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men's cross country team claimed a 17th-place finish at the 2015 St. Olaf College Invitational. Abdullahi Salan (JR, Burnsville, Minn.) led the Auggie men, finishing 28th with a time of 26:29.7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In a very competitive eight-kilometer race, the Auggies only had one finisher in the top 30. Chris Huss (JR, Jordan, Minn.) finished second for the Auggies with a time of 29:08.1, which slotted him 100th overall.
• Luke Erickson (JR, Chippewa Falls, Wis.), Andrew McGillivary (JR, Minneapolis Minn./Southwest HS), and Ryan Moore (FY, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael/Albertville HS) all finished with four spots of each other, and rounded out the top five for the Auggies finishing with times of 29:42.0, 29:51.7, and 29:54.8 respectively. 
• Ibrahim Barqadle (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Fridley HS) and Ahmed Nur (SR, Edina, Minn.) also competed for the Auggies, finishing with times of 30:06.2 and 30:48.0 respectively. 

FOR THE FOES
• Host St. Olaf College won the event scoring 59 points, while Ole Jake Campbell took home first place with a time of 25:20.2.

• "I'm happy with our effort today. We have several young members that ran their first 8K and were mixing it up with some of our veteran athletes. This will bode well for us at the end of the season. Abdul also ran a very intelligent and strong race, placing in the top 25 in a strong nationally ranked field. We are on a good path for success at the end of the season."
