MEET RESULTSST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College women's track and field team tallied 34 points on its way to a second-place finish at the Macalester College Alumni Triangular on Saturday. Four Auggies recorded first-place finishes during the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED• Augsburg's four first-place finishes came from
Mary Cornelius (JR, Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins HS),
Taybri Irving (JR, Rosemount, Minn.),
Callie Jones (JR, Waubeka, Wis./Random Lake HS), and
Kali Kuusisto (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS).
• Cornelius won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.07.
• Irving won the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:47.44.
• Jones won the long jump with a distance of 4.61 meters (15-feet-1.5.Â
• Kuusisto won the weight throw with a distance of 14.42 meters (47-feet-3). • Many other Auggies factored into the scoring, with 15 finishing in the top-five.Â
• Brigette Jira (FY, Fort Atkinson, Wis.) finished fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.69 seconds, while Elizabeth Hickey (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Cretin Derham Hall HS) finished fifth with a time of 8.78.Â
• Nikaylah Woody (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.52.
• Caitlin Olson (FY, Onamia, Minn.) competed in the 800-meter run, finishing fifth with a time of 2:41.91.Â
• Emma Blom (JR, Culver, Minn./South Ridge HS) and Blair Stewig (SO, Maple Lake, Minn.) finished fourth and fifth in the mile run with times of 5:53.49 and 5:55.04 respectively. • Malena Larsen (FY, Minnetonka, Minn.) finished fifth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:18.46. • Katie Hedrick (JR, Norwalk, Wis./Sparta HS) and Kuusisto finished third and fourth in the shot put with distances of 8.24 meters (27-feet-0.5) and 8.21 meters (26-feet-11.25) respectively.
• Kuusisto won the weight throw while Hedrick finished third with a distance of 11.45 meters (37-6). • Augsburg finished second in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:51.79.
• In the 4x400-meter relay the Auggies finished third with a time of 4:35.60.UP NEXT
• The Auggies continue their indoor season next Friday and Saturday (1/29-30) at the Warren Bowlus Invitational in Menomonie, Wis.Â
