MEET RESULTS


ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Abdullahi Salan (SR, Burnsville, Minn.) earned All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention recognition with his 19th-place finish, leading the Augsburg College men's cross country team at the 2016 MIAC Championships on Saturday at Como Park Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Salan led the Auggie men, finishing 19th with a time of 26:53.1 over the 8,000-meter course, earning All-MIAC honorable-mention honors for the second year in a row.
• The Auggies second finisher in the race was Chris Huss (SR, Jordan, Minn.) finishing 50th with a time of 27:40.4.
• Ryan Moore (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael/Albertville HS) finished third for the Auggies, 136th overalll, with a time of 29:29.8.
Andrew McGillivary (SR, Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest HS) and Jacob Van Houtan (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) rounded out the top five for the Auggies finishing with times of 29:30.9 and 30:00.9 respectively. 
Ben Erickson (SO, Andover, Minn./PACT Charter School) and Yasir Said (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Harding HS) also competed for the Auggies, finishing with times of 31:29.2 and 31:53.4. respectively. 

FOR THE FOES
• St. Olaf won its fifth consecutive MIAC championship, and its top runner, Joe Coffey, won the individual championship with a time of 25:56.9.

UP NEXT
• Augsburg competes at the NCAA Division III Central Regional on Nov. 12 at Carleton in Northfield, Minn.
