NORTHFIELD, Minn. --
Abdul Salan (SR, Burnsville, Minn.) earned All-Region honors for the second straight year, as the top finisher for the Augsburg College men's cross country team at the 2016 NCAA Division III Central Regional on Saturday at Carleton College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Salan led the Auggie men, finishing 31st with a time of 26:17.2 over the 8,000-meter course to earn All-Region honors, which goes to the top 35 finishers in regional competition.
• The Auggies' second finisher in the race was
Chris Huss (SR, Jordan, Minn.), who finished 115th with a collegiate-best time of 27:33.3.

Ryan Moore (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) rounded out the top three for the Auggies, finishing with a time of 29:00.

Ben Erickson (SO, Andover, Minn./PACT Charter School), Jacob Van Houten (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS), and
Yasir Said (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Harding HS) also competed for the Auggies, finishing with times of 29:45.7, 30:00.7, and 31:05.5 respectively.
