MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College volleyball players Macey Terhell (SO, Osceola, Wis.) and Taylor Linn (JR, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III All-Central Region team, and were named as AVCA Division III All-America honorable mention selections, it was announced recently.

It's the first all-region and All-America recognition for both players. Both were named to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team earlier this month, with Terhell named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

Her 188 block assists are sixth-most in school history, while her 0.71 blocks per-set average is tied for ninth-best.

Under seventh-season head coach Jane Becker, Augsburg won the MIAC regular-season title for the third time in the last four years, finishing 18-10 overall and a perfect 11-0 in MIAC play -- the first time Augsburg has completed a conference season unbeaten and its first outright MIAC regular-season championship. The Auggies reached the MIAC postseason playoffs for the fifth time in program history, their fourth under Becker. It also marked the ninth straight year that Augsburg has recorded 16 or more victories in a season.
