MEET RESULTSTAMPA, Fla. -- The Augsburg College men's track and field team competed at the University of South Florida Invitational on Thursday and Friday to open up its outdoor track and field season.
HOW IT HAPPENED•
Abdul Salan (JR, Burnsville, Minn.) recorded the top Auggie finish by coming in third place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:20.75.
• Emmanuel Egbujor (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) recorded two top-five finishes, placing third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.46 seconds and fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.67 seconds.
• Barinedum Kordah (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49:39. He also finished eighth in the long jump with a distance of 7.09 meters (23-feet-3.25).
• Mohamed Mohamed (SR, Eden Prairie, Minn.) recorded a seventh-place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:05.00.
• Jesse Kuusisto (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) finished sixth in the shot put with a distance of 12.64 meters (41-feet-5.75) and ninth in the discuss throw with a distance of 38.77 meters (127-feet-2).
• Michael Kantor (SR, Columbia Heights, Minn.) recorded
two top-10 finishes, coming in ninth in the javelin throw and 10th in the hammer throw with a distances of 47.21 meters (154-feet-11) and 46.44 meters (152-feet-4), respectively.
