Irving leads Auggies at South Florida Invite

MEET RESULTS

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Augsburg College women's track and field team competed at the University of South Florida Invitational on Thursday and Friday to open up its outdoor track and field season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Taybri Irving (JR, Rosemount, Minn.) was the top Auggie finisher, recording a fourth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:47.38. 
• Blair Stewig (SO, Maple Lake, Minn.) finished sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:37.87.
• Nikaylah Woody (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) finished 10th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.59.
• Katie Hedrick (JR, Norwalk, Wis./Sparta HS) finished 18th in the discus throw with a distance of 27.82 meters (91-feet-3).
• Kali Kuusisto (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) finished 18th in the javelin throw, with a distance of 28.28 meters (92-feet-9), and 20th in the hammer throw, with a distance of 32.45 meters (106-feet-5).
• Callie Jones (JR, Waubeka Wis./Random Lake HS) recorded a 16th-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.75 seconds. 


UP NEXT
• The Auggies return from Florida with a break in the action, as they don't compete again until the Hamline Invitational on Saturday (4/2) in St. Paul, Minn.
