CCM HOCKEY/AHCA DIVISION II-III ALL-AMERICANS

MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg College goalie Jordyn Kaufer (JR, Stillwater, Minn.) was named to the CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association Division II-III All-America Team as a second-team West Region honoree, it was announced on Thursday.

Kaufer is the 34th Augsburg men's hockey player to earn All-American honors in school history, and the first since the 2010-11 season. It's the fifth All-America selection under 10th-year coach Chris Brown.

A transfer from Concordia-Moorhead, Kaufer was a key element for the Auggies' success this season, as Augsburg claimed the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season and playoff championships, earning a trip to the NCAA Division III national quarterfinals. Augsburg finished 17-9-2 overall, tied for its third-most wins in a single season in the team's NCAA Division III era (1983-present). Augsburg went 11-3-2 in league play. 

An All-MIAC selection, Kaufer had an impressive first season as an Auggie, with a 16-6-1 record, 2.20 goals-against-average and .924 save percentage, with 631 saves and three shutouts. He led the MIAC's overall statistics in winning percentage, while standing second in GAA and save percentage. Among NCAA Division III goalies nationally, he stands 20th in winning percentage, with his 16 wins tied for fifthmost nationally. He stands 28th nationally in GAA and 33rd in save percentage. In his 39-game collegiate career (38 starts), Kaufer has a 23-11-4 record, 2.20 GAA and .920 save percentage, with 1,015 saves and four shutouts.
