MEET RESULTS
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The Augsburg College women's track and field team competed at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Ashton May Invitiational at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mary Cornelius (JR, Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins HS) led the Auggies again, but this time in the 800-meter run as she finished in sixth place with a time of 2:27.10.
• Blair Stewig (SO, Maple Lake, Minn.) finished seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:39.58.
• Augsburg's third top-10 finish came in the 4x400-meter relay as the team of Nikaylah Woody (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS), Elizabeth Hickey (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Cretin Derham Hall HS), Alaina Quaranta (FY, Eau Claire, Wis./North HS) and Emma Blom (JR, Culver, Minn./South Ridge HS) recorded an eighth-place finish with a time of 4:37.66.
• Hickey finished 20th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.62 seconds, while Woody finished 14th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.43.
• Kali Kuusisto (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS)
competed in the discus throw, the hammer throw and the javelin throw, with her best finish coming in the javelin with a distance of 24.03-meters (78-feet-10) for 20th place.
