MEN'S 200-METER DASH PRELIMINARY RESULTS
WAVERLY, Iowa -- Augsburg College's
Barinedum Kordah (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) placed 16th in the men's long jump, while
Emmanuel Egbujor (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) qualified for the finals in the men's 200-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Track and Field National Championships on Thursday afternoon at Wartburg College's Walston-Hoover Stadium.
Kordah finished 16th in the 20-individual long jump competition, with a best jump of 6.44 meters (21-feet-1.5) on his final jump in the preliminary round. The top nine competitors from the preliminaries qualified for the finals.
His 16th-place finish was a two-spot improvement over his seed of 18th in the competition. He qualified for his first national meet with with a season-best distance of 7.14 meters (23-feet-5.25), a school record.

Egbujor qualified for Saturday's (5/28) finals in the men's 200-meter dash, winning his preliminary heat with a 21.60-second time, the third-fastest time among the 20 competitors in the event. He will compete in the eight-runner final on Saturday at 3:40 p.m. He had qualified for the national championships with a season-best time of 21.46 seconds, a school record.
Egbujor will compete in the men's 100-meter dash preliminaries on Friday (5/27) at 5:15 p.m., with the finals slated for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. He has the 12th-fastest time among the 20 competitors in the 100-meter dash, with a school-record 10.63-second seed time.
