MEN'S 100-METER DASH PRELIMINARY RESULTS
WAVERLY, Iowa -- Augsburg College's
Emmanuel Egbujor (FY, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) qualified for his second final of the NCAA Division III Track and Field National Championships, qualifying in the men's 100-meter dash on Friday afternoon at Wartburg College's Walston-Hoover Stadium.
Egbujor qualified for Saturday's (5/28) finals in the 100-meter dash on Friday with the sixth-fastest time in the preliminaries among the 20 competitors in the event with a 10.64-second time, just 0.01 off his school record of 10.63 seconds. He finished third in his preliminary heat, but will be among the eight competitors in Saturday's finals, which will be run at 2:30 p.m.
He will also compete in the finals in the men's 200-meter dash, after winning his preliminary heat with a 21.60-second time, the third-fastest time among the 20 competitors in the event, on Thursday. He will compete in the eight-runner final on Saturday at 3:40 p.m. He had qualified for the national championships with a season-best time of 21.46 seconds, a school record.
