MINNEAPOLIS -- Claiming a 42-second advantage, Taybri Irving (SR, Rosemount, Minn.) dominated in a victory in the Augsburg College Home Opener/Alumni Meet cross country event on Saturday morning at Riverside Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Irving won the women's five-kilometer race in 18:52.0, a 42.5-second victory over the second-place finisher. Her time bettered her previous 5K collegiate-best time by more than 60 seconds (19:52.7).
• As a team, Augsburg finished third in the four-team meet with 65 points. Wartburg (Iowa) won the meet with 41 points.
• Rachel Frantz (JR, Mounds View, Minn./Irondale HS) also set a 5K collegiate-best time with a 20:26.9 effort, finishing ninth overall.
• Blair Stewig (JR, Maple Lake, Minn.) finished 15th in 21:11.2, also a 5K collegiate-best. Emma Blom (SR, Culver, Minn./South Ridge HS) finished 18th in a collegiate-best 21:21.3, and Kailey James (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) finished 27th overall (22nd team) in 21:52.1.
• Caitlin Olson (SO, Onamia, Minn.) finished in 23:01.9, Athena Cloud (SO, Ponemah, Minn./Bemidji HS) finished in 30:14.2 and Taylor Morton (FY, Morongo Valley, Calif./Desert Hot Springs HS) finished in 34:24.3.

FOR THE FOES
• Wartburg claimed victory with 41 team points, with seven of the top 17 individual finishers.
