MINNEAPOLIS -- Augsburg University forward Ashley St. Aubin (SO, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 6 Team for women's soccer, it was announced on Thursday. St. Aubin is a mathematics major with a 3.93 grade-point average.

The award is the latest for St. Aubin, who was also named on Thursday as the MIAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year on Offense, in addition to being named to the All-MIAC team. Last year, St. Aubin earned All-MIAC and MIAC Rookie of the Year honors, in addition to being named to the NSCAA All-North Region second team.

In 2017, St. Aubin continued her career as the conference's most dynamic scorer, leading the MIAC's overall statistics for the second straight year in both goals (16) and points (36), adding four assists. In MIAC games-only, her 11 goals and 26 points were also tops, with her four assists tied for second-most. She had a goal or assist in 12 of Augsburg's 18 games, with the Auggies 11-0-1 in those games. She had five multi-goal and seven multi-point games this season.

Her 16 goals scored this season tied her 2016 total for the third-most in a single season in school history, with her 36 points tied for fifth-most. In her 41 career games, St. Aubin now has 32 goals and 11 assists for 75 points, including 15 game-winning goals. Her 75 career points are sixth-most in Augsburg history, with her 32 goals fourth-most.

As a team, Augsburg finished 12-4-2 overall, 8-1-2 in MIAC play in 2017, winning the MIAC's regular-season title for the second time in the last four years. The Auggies reached the MIAC postseason playoffs for the fourth straight season, fifth time in the last six years and ninth time in program history. The Auggies have finished with double-figure win totals each of the last six years, and eight or more wins in 14 of the last 16 campaigns.

The Academic All-District team is part of the Academic All-America program, as selected by CoSIDA. Top student-athletes from NCAA Division III programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan are eligible for inclusion on the District 6 team, one of eight Division III districts nationwide. Student-athletes must have a grade-point average above 3.30 (4.0 scale) and have outstanding athletic credentials. College sports information directors in the district vote for the teams.

This is the seventh year of the expanded Academic All-America program, with separate teams comprising NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, along with a College Division team of NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools. First-team Academic All-District members advance to the Academic All-America ballot, voted on by a committee of CoSIDA members.

The Division III Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2016-17 Division III Academic All-America teams program.
