The Augsburg College track and field teams are competing this weekend at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
Action will begin on Thursday (2/23) at 2 p.m. with the first four events of the men's heptathlon, and continue on Friday (2/24) at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.

MEN'S FINAL RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Emmanuel Egbujor (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) finished second in the 200-meter dash -- one of three Augsburg College athletes to finish in the top five in the event -- as the Auggie men's track and field team finished its run at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference indoor championships on Saturday at the University of St. Thomas.
Egbujor finished second in 22.45 seconds, while Barinedum Kordah (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished fourth with a time of 22.82 seconds and Undre Smith-Brewer (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) finished fifth in 22.83 seconds.
As a team, Augsburg finished in eighth place with 42 points in the MIAC indoor meet.
Deontae Heuer (JR, Stanley, Wis./Stanley-Boyd HS) finished 11th with a season-best clearance of 4.21 meters (14-feet-1.25). Abdul Salan (SR, Burnsville, Minn.) finished 17th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:02.02.
Augsburg's 4x400-meter relay team of Patrick Deng (FY, Crookston, Minn.), Smith-Brewer, Egbujor and Kordah finished ninth with a time of 3:31.46, while the 4x200-meter relay team of Deng, Sam Rosario (FY, Lakeville, Minn./Eastview HS), Dylan McKinney (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn.) and Ruben Baltierrez (FY, Belle Plaine, Minn.) finished eighth in 1:38.64.

MEN'S HEPTATHLON RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Undre Smith-Brewer (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) won the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title in the indoor 60-meter dash for the fourth straight year, leading the Augsburg College men's indoor track and field team after Friday's competition at the MIAC Indoor Championships at the University of St. Thomas. The Auggies stand in ninth place after Friday's finals with 24.0 points, and will look to build upon those results in the final day on Saturday.
Smith-Brewer claimed the 60-meter dash title for the fourth straight year at the indoor championships with a 6.82 time, setting a new school record in the event a week after Emmanuel Egbujor (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had set the record with a 6.84-second effort. Egbujor took second in the event on Friday, finishing in 6.95 seconds. Smith-Brewer's time currently stands fourth-fastest among NCAA Division III athletes nationally, while Egbujor's 6.84-second season-best is sixth-fastest.
Barinedum Kordah (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) finished third in the long jump with a distance of 6.95 meters (22-feet-9.75), earning his second straight All-MIAC indoor honor in the event, after finishing second last year. He has finished in the top six in the indoor long jump in each of his four seasons in league competition. His season-best effort of 7.00 meters (22-feet-11.75), a school record, ranks 33rd among Division III athletes nationally. Kordah also placed 13th in the 60-meter dash preliminaries in 7.17 seconds.
Abdul Salan (SR, Burnsville, Minn.) finished 10th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:48.83. Patrick Deng (FY, Crookston, Minn.) had Augsburg's best effort in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 12th in the preliminaries in 9.00 seconds, while Tyler Rea (JR, Red Wing, Minn.) placed 19th in 9.11 and Ruben Baltierrez (FY, Belle Plaine, Minn.) finished 22nd in 10.01. Jesse Kuusisto (SR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) placed 14th in the weight throw preliminaries with a 13.81-meter (45-feet-3.75) effort, and the distance medley relay of Ryan Moore (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS), Jackson Gerber (FY, Grantsburg, Wis.), Ben Erickson (SO, Andover, Minn.) and Jacob VanHoutan (FY, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) placed 11th in 11:50.19.
In the heptathlon, Augsburg's Deontae Heuer (JR, Stanley, Wis./Stanley-Boyd HS) finished 12th with a 3,832-point total. His best result was a second-place effort in the pole vault (4.30 meters/14-feet-1.25), an event he will also compete in as an individual on Saturday. He also finished fourth in the 60-meter dash (7.33) and fifth in the long jump (6.11 meters/20-feet-0.5).
