Auggies compete at Tomcat Invite

MEET RESULTS

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg College men's track and field team competed at the University of St. Thomas TomCat Twilight Invitational on Thursday at Hamline University.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
Emmanuel Egbujor (SO, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin HS) was the top finisher for the Auggies winning the 200-meter dash in 22.56 seconds. Egbujor is currently ranked fifh among MIAC competitors in this event.
Preston Blake (JR, Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park HS) and Ruben Baltierrez (FY, Belle Plaine, Minn.) also competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing with times of 24.09 and 24.28 seconds, respectively.
Undre Smith-Brewer (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Johnson HS) finished sixth for the Auggies in the 100-meter dash in 11.01 seconds. Raymond Guyton Jr. (FY, Stockton, Calif./St. Mary's HS) also competed in the event finishing in 11.60 seconds. Smith-Brewer currently has the second-fastest time in the 100 among MIAC competitors, a 10.93-second time set earlier this year.
• In the 400-meter dash, Barinedum Kordah (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) took third place with a time of 49.65 seconds, a time that ranks fifth in the MIAC. Kordah also took third in the long jump finishing with a distance of 6.67 meters (21-feet-10.75). 
Alex Pruitt (FY, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS) also competed in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 54.69 seconds.
Miracle Adebanjo (FY, London, England/Minneapolis South HS) competed in the long jump where he finished with a distance of 5.34 meters (17-feet-06.25).
Jesse Kuusisto (SR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) recorded a 13th-place finish in the hammer throw in 47.24 meters (155-feet-0) and an 11th-place finish in the discus throw in 40.44 meters (132-feet-8).
Sean Adams (SR, Zumbrota, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa HS) finished 12th in the triple jump in 12.25 meters (40-feet-2.25) and competed in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 11.77 seconds.
Patrick Deng (FY, Crookston, Minn.) finished in the top 15 in both hurdle events. Deng finished 11th in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.83 seconds and 11th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.72.
• Deontae Heuer (JR, Stanley, Wis./Stanley-Boyd HS) finished 12th in the pole vault with a 3.86-meter (12-feet-8) clearance.

• Augsburg's next meet is on Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m., as the Auggies compete at the Concordia University-Saint Paul Holst Invitational.
