ZACH MOLITOR (Wrestling) -- NCAA Division III national champion at 174, Great Lakes Regional champion … Earned 45th individual national title in Augsburg wrestling history in dramatic fashion, claiming 3:20 pin of Wartburg’s Bradley Banks in 174-pound national title match (only pin of the 10 national title matches) … Opened national tournament with 4:28 pin, then 12-1, major-decision win in quarterfinals to secure All-American honors, and scored 4-1 win over defending national titlist in semifinals … Won titles at St. Cloud State Husky Open, Citrus Open, Cornell Matman Invitational and Great Lakes Regional leading up to national tournament … finished season 29-3, with 21 bonus-point wins (15 pins, 6 major decisions) … Part of Augsburg team that finished 2nd nationally at Division III tournament.

SHANEK TELPHIA (Track and Field) -- 2010 Outdoor Track and Field: MIAC champion in 100-meter dash, 4X All-MIAC, NCAA national championships qualifier in 400-meter relay; 2011 Indoor Track and Field: MIAC champion in 800-meter relay, 3X All-MIAC, MIAC Athlete of Week … Sprinter … In 2010 outdoor season, claimed conference title in 100-meter dash (12.44), while finishing 2nd in 200 (25.54), third in long jump (5.22 meters/17-feet-1.5) and as a part of the title-winning 400-meter relay (47.88) … Qualified for NCAA Division III national championships as part of 400-meter relay … In 2011 indoor season, claimed title as part of 800-meter relay at MIAC indoor championships, setting meet and school record in 1:42.50 … Also finished 2nd in 200-meter dash (25.51) and 2nd in 400-meter dash (58.94), 5th as part of 1,600-meter relay (school-record 4:05.29) and 8th in 55-meter dash (7.73) … Earned MIAC Athlete of Week honors on Feb. 8 after winning both 55 and 200 at Bethel Invitational.

CHAD JOHNSON (Wrestling) -- All-American with 7th place national finish at heavyweight … Earned starting spot at heavyweight, then rallied for a berth in national tournament and for an All-American finish at national meet … At Great Lakes Regional, rallied to secure a national tournament berth with a “true-second” finish after placing third, then beating second-place finisher … At NCAA national championships, lost in quarterfinals, but rallied with a 12-3 major-decision win to earn All-American honors, then finished seventh with a win in his final bout to finish 32-11 on the season … Had 8 pins, 1 technical fall and 8 major decisions on the season … Finished 23-7 against Division III competition.

BRI DORALE (2010 Softball) -- All-MIAC, Academic All-MIAC … Outfielder … In 2010 softball, earned All-MIAC first-team honors with team-best .367 batting average and .449 on-base percentage … Had 44 hits and 37 runs scored (3rd-most in single season in school history), while leading MIAC in stolen bases with 31 in 35 attempts (3rd-best in single season in school history … Also led MIAC in conference games-only stolen bases with 19 … Dorale’s 37 runs scored were 4th-best in MIAC in overall stats, and her .367 batting average was 16th-best.

SOCCER (16-5-1 overall, 7-2-1 MIAC--t2nd/11, MIAC playoff champion, NCAA Division III playoffs 2nd round) -- Under seventh-year head coach Greg Holker, Augsburg finished the 2010 season with a school-record 16 victories and the MIAC's postseason playoff championship for the first time in school history. Augsburg qualified for the NCAA Division III national playoffs for the second time in the last three years, and finished with a double-digit win record for the fourth time in the last five years. In the MIAC playoffs, the Auggies opened with a 1-0 semifinal win over Carleton, then topped Concordia-Moorhead 3-2 in overtime in the championship match. Augsburg scored another overtime victory in its first NCAA tournament game, a 1-0 triumph over St. Scholastica in Whitewater, Wis. The Auggies fell 3-0 to Wisconsin-Whitewater in the second round of the playoffs. Holker was named MIAC Coach of the Year for the second time in his career, and defender/forward Chad Gilmer was named MIAC Player of the Year.

2010 SOFTBALL (21-19 overall, 11-11 MIAC--7th/12) -- Under fourth-year coach Tim Gormley, Augsburg reached the 20-win plateau for the second time in his coaching tenure, and the team's 21 wins are its most since the 1992 season, when it finished 24-12. Augsburg hit .276 as a team with 73 extra-base hits (50 doubles, six triples, 17 home runs), while recording a 3.66 team earned-run average. Augsburg swept Macalester, St. Catherine, Carleton and Hamline in league play, went 5-5 at the Tucson (Ariz.) Invitational, and had a nine-game winning streak midway through the season. Augsburg’s 21 wins marked a nine-win improvement over the team’s 12-28 mark in 2009.

TRACK AND FIELD (2010 Outdoor: 8th/12 at MIAC championships … 2009 Outdoor: 11th/12 at MIAC championships; 2011 Indoor: 7th/12 at MIAC championships … 2010 Indoor: 10th/12 at MIAC championships) -- Under 16th-year head coach Dennis Barker, the Auggies have produced two of the top seasons in recent history. Augsburg’s 2010 outdoor squad claimed its best finish in a league meet since 2005 with an eighth-place finish, netting two league champions, five All-MIAC and two All-MIAC honorable-mention placings. Augsburg set three school records in the outdoor season, including a conference-championship 47.88-second time by the 400-meter relay, which became the first Augsburg entrant in the event ever at the NCAA national championships. Shanek Telphia won the conference title in the 100-meter dash and was a part of the league-winning relay. In the 2011 indoor season, Augsburg placed seventh in the MIAC championships, its best finish in the league meet since 2005. Augsburg scored four All-MIAC and three All-MIAC honorable-mention honors, including a championship by the 800-meter relay squad -- Augsburg’s first-ever conference title in the event. Augsburg set two relay school records in the 2011 indoor season.
