Augsburg University Athletics

Ab Strommen '38 served for more than 40 years as a high school coach and administrator in Minnesota.

Following his graduation from Augsburg in 1938, he served as a coach and administrator at Morgan, Renville and St. James high schools during the next 30-plus years, then served as athletic director for the South Washington County School District (Woodbury/Park-Cottage Grove high schools) from 1975 to 1980. He received numerous state and national honors for his work, and was inducted into both the Minnesota State Coaches and Minnesota Athletic Directors halls of fame.
